Outreach

The goals of the Cruise into Kindergarten initiative included building awareness of the importance of early learning in all communities in Pennsylvania. Libraries are always encouraged to collaborate with other state and local agencies involved with early learning with the ultimate goal of promoting the role of libraries in providing early learning support. Here are some ideas for achieving this goal:

• Reach out to outside agencies; PA Head Start, PA WIC, PA Keys, home and center-based childcare providers, pre-schools, pediatricians, etc. about your storytimes & programs

• Share the Cruise into Kindergarten Activity Cards with parents and caregivers or at kindergarten orientations

  

• Host a Family Book Adventure event at your library or an outreach location, once in-person programming resumes

• Share the new 2021 version of the Cruise into Kindergarten online game and resources with parents and caregivers!
